ELIGIBILITY AND PROCEDURE FOR GPSC EXAM:
GPSC stands for Gujarat Public Service Commission.
GPSC exam taken by the Govt.of Gujarat for the post of Class 1 & Class 2 post.
The Posts under the GPSC are:--
-- The Deputy Superintendent of police
-- The District registrar of co-op. society
-- The Mamlatdar -- The Section officer-sachivalaya
-- The Section officer-vidhansabha
-- The Section officer-G.P.S.C
-- The Taluka development officer
-- The Labour officer
-- The Assistant district register of co-op society
-- The District inspector of land record
The eligibility criterion for the exam is below:
The Candidate must have Degree/Graduation in any discipline from recognized University.
A final year student is also eligible for the exam.
Age Limit:--
The Candidate must have the Age Limit from 21 - 28 years of age. The Relaxation for SC and ST age is for 5 years., For OBC 3 years .,For women’s in reserved quota it is 10 years., For general Women’s it is 5 years.
No. of Attempts:
There are no rules for the number of attempts like in UPSC, one can give any number of time exam till one eligible for the exam.
The Examination Procedure:
The following are tests Conducted by the GPSC
-- The Preliminary examination
-- Main examination
-- The Personality Test
The Preliminary Examination:--
- The preliminary Examination consist of two paper with objective type question
-- Paper-I General Studies 150
-- Paper-II One subject to be selected from the list of optional subjects 200
-- The Total marks:350
The Main Examination:
-- -- Paper-I Gujarati Marks-200
-- Paper-II English Marks-200
-- Paper-III General Studies Marks-200
-- Paper IV & V Two subject to be selected from the list of optional subject Marks 200 Each
-- The Total Marks: 1000
After passing the main exam; candidate will be called for an interview.
The Interview: The interview is of 100 Marks The final selection will be based on the marks obtained in Main exam plus interview together.
